PNMT is following each State’s Board of Health recommendations as well as recommendations provided by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Board and the CDC. Following are precautions we are taking at our seminars to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Please email us at admin@pnmt.org if you have further questions.

  • Participants will be given a COVID-19 screening questionnaire to fill out and sign before the class begins to ensure all participants are asymptomatic.

  • Class sizes will be small and will never exceed 16 people (average will be closer to 10)

  • Participants and the instructor will be required to wear a face mask throughout the seminar. We ask that you bring your own mask, but one will be provided if you do not have one (N95 masks are not required but are encouraged).

  • Participants and instructor will have their temperature taken and recorded before each day of the seminar.

  • During the lecture portion of the seminar the class will attempt to socially distance as much as possible.

  • Exchange partners will be maintained throughout the seminar.

  • Before each day the seminar classroom will be sanitized and we ask that participants only bring necessary equipment with them into the seminar.

  • In between each exchange tables and equipment will be sanitized and participants will be required to wash their hands.

  • Gloves will be provided for those participants that wish to wear them during the seminar, but they will not be required unless mandated by local regulations.

  • The seminar curriculum has been amended to allow for fewer exchanges. All the same material will be covered but exchanges will be limited.

  • HEPA air purifiers will be used in the classroom when available (this precaution is location dependent).

  • Windows will be opened during seminars if the location allows it (this precaution is location and weather dependent).

  • We encourage anyone who is of a high-risk category, or those who come into contact with people in a high-risk category to avoid the seminar.
