WELCOME TO PNMT PROFILES:INTERVIEWS WITH SOME OF THE REMARKABLE PEOPLE OF PNMT

Meet Amanda Murphy from 360 NMT in Waltham, MA. Upon reading Amanda’s case report, I immediately wanted to hear more about the work she did and some more to the story behind her experience with this client. You can read her case report here. https://www.nmtmidwest.com/case-reports

Amanda received her initial training in massage from The Salter School in Tewksbury, MA, graduating in 2006. For many years she was Lead Therapist at Elements Massage, where she gained experience in training and management of staff in addition to maintaining a busy schedule of patients. By combining her knowledge gained from Precision NeuroMuscular Therapy and the training program at 360 NMT, she is able to quickly and effectively source soft tissue pain and work with a wide variety of patients to reduce pain and improve function. She strongly believes in the body's ability to heal itself and that massage therapy is one of the many paths to restoring health and wholeness to the body.

Amanda is certified in Precision NeuroMuscular Therapy, Cupping Massage, as well as FAKTR, an instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization technique that considers the function and treatment of the entire kinetic chain. She is also a long-standing member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

On her time off, Amanda enjoys reading, cooking, going for walks & spoiling her adorably mischievous dog, Shay.
